The Perth Mint is Australia’s leading precious metal house, as well as the nation’s oldest operating mint. Within the 1899 grand heritage building there are five function areas.

A variety of unique function spaces on offer

The Foyer and Shop comprise six connected spacious areas offering a blend of colonial features and contemporary furnishings creating a relaxed ambience.

The Melting House, as the original refinery of The Perth Mint, exudes a distinct historic charm, with gold said to be worth thousands of dollars ingrained within its brick walls.

The Gold Exhibition is home to the world’s largest gold coin, made from one tonne of pure gold, as well as Australia’s most dazzling display of natural gold nuggets. Guests can even touch the alluring metal that has fascinated humankind for millennia.

The Garden Courtyard and Veranda is a private semi-outdoor space that provides a historic atmosphere complete with heritage installation and shade sail.

With the ornate grand heritage building as a magnificent backdrop, the Forecourt and Front Garden areas offer elegant function spaces to accommodate a range of outdoor and marquee options for larger groups.

Functions worth their weight in gold

For a unique addition to your event, a live gold pouring demonstration in the Melting House can be arranged and The Perth Mint Shop opened for guests to peruse a variety of luxury jewellery, unique gifts and exclusive precious metal coins, minted right on the premises.
